Look out for Hank Bettis and his various aliases
Look out for Hank Bettis and his various aliases
We were contacted by Hank Bettis and were requested to complete 2 signings within a few days of each other and have been waiting since February to get paid. We have called, e-mailed sent letters and he ignores them all. After research it would appear that on at least 3 occasions, he took signings with ServiceLink and then sub-contracted them out, took payment himself but did not pay the people that actually completed the signing for him.
Please beware of people like him and others and do your research before falling victim and not getting paid. We now check Notary Rotary, Notary Cafe and various other sites to ensure that the people that call us have a credible background.

Great to know, RKAgency! There seem to always be some of those everyone has to watch out for.

Re: Look out for Hank Bettis and his various aliases
Hello All,
I reside in Iowa and have been in Real Estate, Home Inspections ect, and went to Surveying for a lot of years. I was told that I would have to quit surveying for the rest of my days, because of my health. I took an early retirement from the government. Now I searched around for something to do that I would enjoy doing. I have researched the Notary Pubilc profession and know without a doubt that this is what I want to do. I have several years of college and ect. I know enough about the profession that with a little training or take a class that you give. And I am told that I am a very honest individual, and I try my best to stay on that tract, that I have applied for the Notory Public License for my state. So I can start a mobile company. I have been reading different threads from your site and really like your web page. I am sure that I could give good advice and this site could sure give me some good advice. Proud to be a member. I will have a few questions to ask the members. and I know that I will get sound advice from them.
Sincerely,
Eljero

As always, only the facts are shared that validate the claim a person is making. Here is the "rest of the story". There are several who did not get paid for work performed. This is a true fact. I had an assistant handling the payments while on tour with an entertainer. She only paid half of those on the payee list and then helped herself to the rest of the money. I regret that it happened and am still fighting to recover the money. I have had to voluntarily surrender my Notary License. I did so without issue and it put me out of business and unable to continue to work. With no work there is no INCOME to pay those who are owed. When called this situation was explained to everyone and I promised to pay everyone every dime owed when I found another line of work and started making enough money to have the discretionary funds to start chipping away at those owed. The failing economy has kept me just barely getting by like so many others. I guess sometimes when we need think it through before taking action. It is always better to work with someone and be patient and GET your money, than to incapacitate them from making money and getting nothing and complaining about it. I regret that it happened. But it did. And that is the 'rest of the story'... not a pretty one, but painfully honest. All that is ever required is to try your best in life to make the best of every situation. Turn adversity into opportunity. My sincere heartfelt apologies to all who were effected by this. It was not intentional. I have not been immune to the effects either. I wish you all continued success and happiness and health. God Bless and have a MOMENTOUS day!

Paperless Post just announced a new partnership with Oscar de la Renta, and the invites are pretty freaking amazing. Here are seven awesome http://www.doduu.com/s-&-events-c-475.html stationery suites, side-by-side with the runway looks that inspired them. So cool!
